What is super simple synchro?

Competitive synchronised swimming is hard! It is complex and you need to be super fit to do the sport. Our inspiration for super simple synchro came from our adult swimmers who were not interested in competing but still wanted to enjoy the fun side of synchro.

In our classes we have lots of fun learning something new, improving our core strength, toning and sculpting, improving our fitness, making new friends and doing something interesting and different that keeps us coming back for more.

We are developing classes to cover the full age range, from young children to older adults.

Do I need to be a good swimmer?
If you want to do a deep water class you need to be fairly confident in the water. If you want to do a shallow water class you need to be confident enough to float in the water. Do Synchro will increase your confidence in the water.

SynchroFitness is a deep water class so you need to be able to do at least 45 minutes in the water without needing to hold on to the side too often. SynchroFitness will increase your fitness levels so you’ll find you need to rest less and less. A 45 minute/hour lesson flies by doing synchro.

Do I need to have synchro experience?
You do not need any synchro experience. Complete beginners are very welcome.

We always start with basic synchro moves and build on them.

SynchroFitness is great if you did synchro when you were younger.

What should I wear/bring?
It’s good to have a hat if you have long hair.

For deep water classes goggles can be useful. Then there’s the “nose clip” – essential for going under water comfortably. Your Instructor will have nose clips for sale.

What our swimmers say:

“SynchroFitness is fun because of the social atmosphere – a lot of my exercise isn’t social so I look forward to it.”

“I like doing things I’ve never done before. From a fitness point of view I definitely feel it. It definitely challenges all your muscles and gives you a really good workout at the same time as having fun and doing these new amazing moves.”

“I like dancing, swimming, and being part of a team so I thought SynchroFitness would be perfect for me. I thought the class might be too easy but after the first one I realized I was getting a lot of exercise. We do a lot of cardio and it was quite challenging at first but after only 2 or 3 classes I realised I wasn’t tired like before. It’s really fun.”
